About Jenny Mead

Born in Richmond, Virginia. During a long and bumpy childhood drew objects that flowed out to the beyond - beyond school

Attended The College of William & Mary.
Graduated from Northwestern University,1955.

Lived and loved on Gay Street in Greenwich Village.
Worked on Mademoiselle Magazine and for G.P Putnam and Sons, Publishers.

Married Bill Mead, a wire service reporter and baseball historian.

After New York, Richmond, Chicago, Detroit and three children, settled in Bethesda, Maryland. Painted with forms and words. Realized pictures could be made to speak - on film. Drew and wrote and produced animated shorts. Two were distributed nationally. DOLLY won a prize at The American Film Institute in D.C.

Paints now on a computer, daily embracing the possibilities of digital art making.
